Balancing Conservation with Modernization for Growth and Innovation
This project included a master plan for the expansion, conservation, and redevelopment of an existing 225-acre campus of an all-India technical and private university located in Pilani. This was executed in 8 phases keeping the existing campus functioning. A detailed scheme was worked out for each of the academic areas, student and faculty housing areas.
The campus expansion was planned for an additional 2000 students and 150 faculty. The academic areas were completely revamped and retrofitted to suit modern methods of teaching and state-of-art facilities. A complex phasing plan was derived to undertake the execution of the master plan followed by the conditional mapping of each of the existing structures, some of which were over 50 years old.
