IIA Western Region Conference Mahacon '25 Invites Somaya Sampat
The IIA Western Region Conference 2025, hosted by the Thane Chapter, explored the themes of Confluence: Adaptive Reuse & Parametric Architecture. The conference highlighted the challenges and opportunities of celebrating the Glory of the Past through adaptive reuse, while envisioning the Future through parametric design in architecture. The goal was to explore how the fluidity of parametric design can enhance the timelessness of historical structures, resulting in built forms that are both contextually responsive and forward-thinking.
Somaya Sampat's principal architects were invited to contribute their expertise on these key topics. Ar. Brinda Somaya participated in the panel, engaging in discussions on sustainability, urban planning, and cultural preservation. Meanwhile, Ar. Nandini Sampat delivered a keynote address, sharing her insights on bridging the past with the future through adaptive reuse.
