A competition entry for the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The memorial is conceptualised as a quiet and respectful landscape that not only honours the memory of the nation’s heroes but also informs and inspires future generations.
The war museum was developed by seven cubes along an existing spine creating a singular powerful form. The seven cubes represent the seven metals of India (brass, copper, gold, zinc, silver, iron and steel) and the courage, strength and power associated with the armed forces.
