The design of the HSS academic building takes into account both the local context and climate, with the northern façade featuring larger openings and a glass façade to maximize natural light, while the eastern and western sides incorporate recessed windows, and the southern façade has fewer openings to minimize heat gain.

The proposed site for the new academic building is adjacent to the existing HSS building, in close proximity to the Department of Aerospace Engineering, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and the Department of Earth Sciences.

The design concept focuses on creating a space that fosters critical thinking, analytical capabilities, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The proposed G+6 academic building is designed to be both inviting and functional.
A bridge seamlessly connects this new structure to the existing HSS building, enhancing accessibility and promoting interaction between departments.
